Well this is me :-

I'm an ordinary lass caught up in an extraordinary life, I have no real musical or literary background to speak of
(however, my Grandma was the best cook ever and being Irish my Pop was always singing), I didn't start writing until 2011 after a particularly difficult time in my life, I have always been arty however I do feel as if I've been blessed with a gift to use and take care, it's intriguing to see just where life will lead, I am very lucky, I have a wonderful family of whom I am extremely proud of and a fabulous husband, my earth angel and my mews. I was born in Belfast, grew up in the RAF, moved innumerable times, and was lucky enough to live in Malta for 3+ years. Always singing in choirs and shows since I was tiny, my most ambitious project to date has been to play the part of Mary Magdelene in the huge open air Passion Play in Bedford, Easter 2016, and that led onto singing as part of a Christian/folk duo called Hope; I was then lucky enough to become the resident poet for St Peter de Merton church and a Local Leader of Worship. I have, like everyone else, had problems as life sideswipes me on a regular basis, however, I learned that there is just no knowing what wonders tomorrow will bring, how exciting..........
Hello -
Baby Bub Little Monkey Little Maggot
Since I was very young I have sung in church, school and community choirs, in this country and abroad and have a love of the more classical choral pieces, music provides a wonderfully safe place for me, when I am singing or playing nothing else exists, it was therefore a very strange sensation when I realised that I was able to write a hymn, anthem or carol, not just sing one, acknowledging this was quite a steep learning curve.
I was voted Woman of the Year for 2014 and 2015 at my Slimming World Group, also the Greatest Loser of 2015 and 2016 as well, am very proud of both these accomplishments. December 2015 saw me singing on the Royal Festival Hall Stage with the Hear and Now Project, the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Tibbs Dementia Foundation. I was very priviledged to play the part of Mary Magdalene in the 2016 Passion Play in Bedford town centre this year, a very moving production full of amazing people. In July 2016 I was lucky enough to appear on the main stage at the Bedford River Festival as well as take part in charity concerts, in 2017 I completed my first half marathon and Memory Walk and then in 2018 Tibbs were awarded the Queens Award for Voluntarty Services, an amazing achievement and a huge honour for all of us
